70 links under $170

If you’re like me, this winter your social feeds and moodboards have been dominated by opulence, elegance, and decadence. Vintage furs, calf-hair, velvet, tassels, and embroidery. Creators like Alexis Badiyi, Christie Tyler, and Mara Lafontan. Leaning into warmth and romance and ornamentation.

Over the weekend I went to a vintage pop up on the Upper East Side that really encapsulated this style. It was filled with tons of lovely, beautiful, and expensive items. I left empty-handed and a little down trodden. I came close to spending $160 on a beautiful brooch for my boyfriend, which I felt was reasonable, but after searching for it eBay, I found not one but two of the exact brooches being sold for just $20.

I was inspired to do an eBay deep dive of beautiful objects, jewelry, and items that could have been at this pop up, just without the extreme price hike.

Don’t get me wrong, I love in person shopping, and I respect the hustle. These sellers work hard to source, identify, and curate beautiful things.
