What I’m reading:
-> just finished Play as it Lays, loved, weirdly made me want to go sweat out life in the desert even though I think that is the opposite of what it’s meant to do
-> Cookie Mueller’s Walking Through Clear Water has been sitting on my nightstand for 6 months waiting for a break in my library ebook holds so I think that will be next
What I’m listening to:
-> realizing that Grimes is great for ambient background working music, so going through a little phase over here
-> my perfect 6 song playlist. not taking suggestions.
What I’m watching:
-> working my way through the films of Pedro Almodovar. Started with All About My Mother because I was visiting Barcelona and wanted to watch a movie filmed there, and because he’s my mom’s favorite ᵕ̈ fell in love and followed up with Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (the absolute most fun, gorgeous sets/costumes/shots, Antonio Banderas as a baby) and The Skin I Live In (freaky, borderline offensive, four stars)
What I’m rewatching:
-> OG Gossip Girl season 2 (also borderline offensive, also four stars)
What I’m buying:
-> my favorite chapsticks (total hydration®) were on sale for a dollar at cvs yesterday, which was great, but makes me think that they’re in the process of being discontinued. i’d recommend stocking up while you still can.
-> dying to find this 2003 Chloe camera bag. definitely discontinued. preferably for a dollar.
