I am very bravely the only girl in the entire world not traipsing around Europe this summer. (Something I am adamant to change next summer). So I have to find my bliss stateside. To me, this means terrorizing wine bars and, for the rainier days, what I’m calling apartment picnics.
Apartment picnics are just as they sound. They include all of the flare and fare of a real and true outdoor picnic, but none of the annoying natural elements, i.e. sunburn, bugs, and unexpected rain. Turns out all it takes is some proper branding to trick my friends into sitting on the couch in the air conditioning with me.
What I’m drinking: I brought along a bottle of Swick Wines to one of my aforementioned apartment picnics, my friend Mercedes is a fan of the producer, and I hadn’t seen this one, called Mallsoft, in the wild before.
Inside was a crushable honey blonde natty wine with slight effervescence, tannins, and plenty of flavor. From their website: cantaloupe, papaya, guava, dried flowers.
Shortly after, Mercedes sent me a post from their Instagram saying to grab the bottles while you can because they won’t be available again until next year, so I went to my local wine shop and grabbed three more. Something I recommend you do as well!
What I’m watching: Love Island, UK obviously.
What I’m buying: Nothing! Summer is expensive, and I’ve placed myself on a bag ban, but if anyone feels inclined to buy me a gift, I’ll gladly accept one of these. (And if you end up getting one for yourself, send me a pic.)
If you know me, you know I am Miuccia Prada’s bitch, so here is an assortment of some designs I’m currently lusting over — for under $250, no less.
Prada dark brown suede shoulder bag, $165 - so cute I had to include twice
And bonus round:
That’s all for now, I love you. xx
